My Tiny Dancer

Tonight was Anna's last ballet class (in a series of 6) and I finally got to go see her dance! It was absolutely amazing. So cute.

About twelve little girls gathered in their white tights and pink leotards and sat in a circle with the teacher. She warmed them up and then read them the story for the week (Angelina Bellerina - she's a mouse) and then they all put on their tutus and mouse ears and followed their teacher's lead.

Anna is so funny. She's basically Teacher Jr. Everywhere that teacher went, Anna was a step beside her. If the music needed changing, Anna went with. When all the girls were getting their tutus on, Anna helped them each get their feet through. I was beside myself.

And Anna is such a good little dancer! She really was one of the only girls who was watching every move her teacher made and she mimicked them with intense attention to detail. Every once in a while she'd look through the glass and flash her brilliant smile at me. I nearly burst every time. I'm sure Julie can vouch for that.

It was so fun to be there and to be a dad that got to watch his little girl dance.
