It was a gloomy, rainy day for a run this morning, but it went well. When I started it was raining pretty good, then it tapered off for the majority of my run and picked up again right at the end.
I ended up going to bed a little later than I wanted to last night, but not bad (10:30ish). I also ate a bunch of snack food and had a beer with friends, so I was a little worried about that. But, I “got it all out” before I ran, so it was fine. You’re welcome for that.
The run itself was pretty standard fare. The only times I walked were when I crossed the street twice, but other than that, it was a steady, leisurely pace.
I listened to Bill Simmons (The B.S. Report) today, which was fun. I haven’t listened to him and Sal in a while. They did a mock Fantasy Football draft…it was great. I know, nerd alert.
So…the race is in less than 10 days. That’s freaky. I mean, not really…but…am I supposed to be freaked out? I guess not. I’m excited. I think I’m going to go downtown and run the route this weekend. It’ll be good practice. I know I can do it. Gosh…I hope I don’t sound too cocky.
I’m also excited to write after the race is done. After I meet my goal. To look back at all these entries and see how far I’ve come in such a short amount of time. And to think about how it’s affected my life. And what’s next.
What’s next?
